The EMPWR Coat

The EMPWR coat is a water-resistant jacket, which can transform into a sleeping bag, or be worn as an over-the-shoulder bag when not in use. The coat is constructed of durable, water resistant Cordura fabric from Carhartt, upcycled automotive insulation from General Motors, and other materials provided by generous donors. 

It costs $125 to sponsor a coat, which covers the cost of labor, materials, and overhead expenses. Sponsor a coat to be given to someone in need by making a donation here. To receive a coat for someone in need in your community, contact us by filling out our “Request a coat” form.

Request a Coat

Thank you for your interest in ordering coats for those in need! The cost to sponsor a coat is $125 each (plus shipping), which covers the cost of materials, wages for the seamstresses, and overhead. If you are interested in ordering coats for someone in need in your community or you yourself are in need, fill out the form and we will get back to you as soon as possible. 

Sponsor a coat to be given to someone in need by making a donation or find another way to get involved by being one of our corporate partners.

How much does it cost to sponsor a coat? 

It costs $125 to sponsor a coat, which covers the cost of materials, wages for our seamstresses, and overhead. The coat is very heavy-duty, long-lasting, and not a “one-season” garment. 

Can I purchase a coat for myself? 

At this time, our coats are strictly for those in need and are not for sale to the general public. 

How do I order a coat for someone in need?

Does the coat come in multiple colors and sizes? 

At this time our coats come in only one size and the color changes depending on what material we have in stock.
